Tired of Reading Glasses and Bifocals
Cataract patients now have the option to have their vision corrected to allow them to see at both near and far distances after cataract surgery! These lens implants provide significantly reduced dependence on glasses for all tasks of daily living, providing a range of focus that laser vision correction cannot achieve. Individuals with visual impairment suffering from cataracts previously had only a mono-focal lens implant option after surgery.

Additional CareWhat can be done using BOTOX?
Frown lines
The most common use of BOTOX is to reduce the frown lines between our brows.
Crows feet
Also known as laugh lines, these form at the corners of our eyes and can be greatly improved.
Forehead lines
Some patients have long horizontal lines on their upper forehead, which can be treated.
Neck lines
If you have horizontal “necklace” lines, these may be softened. Some patients have bands of muscle that can be greatly reduced by treatment.
Ask your doctor about other areas that can be improved using BOTOX.
What is BOTOX?
BOTOX, a prescription medicine, is a purified protein that temporarily improves the look of moderate-to-severe facial lines. BOTOX is administered as a simple, nonsurgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes persistent lines to form. Individual results may vary.
When will I see results from a treatment?
Within days, you may see a marked improvement in the moderate-to-severe frown lines between your brows. Lines continue to improve for up to 30 days. Visible results have been shown to last up to 4 months. Your own results may vary. We will speak with you about what results you can expect from BOTOX treatments. We will schedule your follow-up appointment 2 weeks after your initial treatment. We suggest that you come back in 3-4 months for your next appointment.
Is treatment painful?
Discomfort is usually minimal and brief. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Most patients are in and out of the physician’s office without downtime. Usually, there is a little redness at the injection sites that goes away in a few hours. Bruising may happen but is generally minimal.
Will I still be able to make facial expressions?
Although the results are visible, a treatment with BOTOX will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you’ve “had work done.”
What will happen to these lines if I choose not to continue treatments?
If you do not continue treatments, the lines will gradually return to the way they looked before treatment. With continued treatment, the muscles may become slightly smaller and the effects of the treatments can last longer.
