Sheridan Lam MD

Dr. Lam co-founded DuPage Ophthalmology with Dr. Gupta in 2006. Dr. Lam has been practicing ophthalmology in the western suburbs of Chicago since 1993. A graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. Lam completed his ophthalmology residency at the  University of South Florida. He completed fellowships in ophthalmic pathology and uveitis at the University of Illinois at Chicago Eye Center and a cornea fellowship at the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Lam was also an assistant professor of clinical ophthalmology at the University of Illinois at Chicago Eye Center. Dr. Lam specializes in cataract surgery and presbyopia correction.

Balaji Gupta MD

Dr. Gupta grew up in Kansas City and grew his Chicago roots at Northwestern University. Drawn to eye surgery, he completed his residency at the University of Illinois and served as a Major in the Air Force. He received additional training at the University of Michigan, and later had academic appointments at the University of Illinois in Chicago, the University of Chicago, and Loyola University. He has received numerous honors, including National Merit Scholar, AOA medical school academic society, and the Golden Apple Award for best teacher. He is past president of the Illinois Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Gupta is experienced in the art of eye surgery and wishes to not only restore vision but also restore hope.
